Stanstead Abbotts Parish Hall
Table Tennis Club

Helping us stay fit!!

September 2021 Update

Our club is meeting again, following the relaxation of Covid restrictions, and we are pleased to be able to welcome new members again - whether you are an experienced player or (like most of us) not!

Please see below for further details about our meetings, and feel free to contact us for further information.

About us

If you are interested in trying something different, please consider table tennis! Our club meets twice a week at the Parish Hall in Roydon Road (next to St Andrew's School) and is open to all adults. We aim to be a friendly club, and welcome all abilities including absolute beginners. If you played table tennis in your youth, and remember the score going up to 21 you won't be alone, but a couple of things have changed - including that the ball is now a little bit larger!

Friday afternoons from 2 pm to 3.30 pm is our well established session - which started under the auspices of EHDC's Forever Active initiative, encouraging over 50's to be more active. We also meet on Thursday evenings from 7.30 pm - this is our club night for the local league. We have two teams playing in the local league this season (2021-22) and it would be great if some more experienced players would join us!

All abilities are welcome, at both sessions, and all equipment is provided. The cost is £3 per session, and your first session is free! Please wear suitable shoes and a dark top.
